Lagwagon

    Lagwagon play some kind of melodic poppy new school punkrock. They was formed in1990. One year later they started touring. They first called them self Section 8, but they wanted a more originally name and after a lot of of band name ideas the finally picked the name Lagwagon. Their first record called DUH was recorded in January 1992 with a new bass player and a new guitar player. The album was up on a new record label called Fat Wreck Chords, owned by Fat Mike from NOFX. It was the first record on Fat Wreck Chords which was not a NOFX album. A little while after their first record they bought a van, which also got the name Lagwagon. This album contains 2 covers, one on the Creedence Clearwater song Bad Moon Rising and one on the Inspector gadget theme. Two years later in 1994 their second album was out, and It´s called Trashed. The song
Island of shame on trashed also got a video. At first Lagwagon was negative to the video, they thought It would cost too much, take a lot of time, and they wouldn´t like to be shown on MTV. But the guy who would like to made video said that he would pay It all, set up the show, and all they have to do was just to play. So they guys were like, what a hell why not?. This album also contains a cover, this time on the Van Morison song Brown eyed girl. In 1995 was their third album called Hoss up. They got the name from a guy in a famous cowboy Tv-series. Hoss sold in over 100 tousend exemplar. Two years later they released a new awaited album called Double Pladinum. It got more soften songs and It´s like emo punk. On double pladinum they got a new drummer called Dave Raun from Rich kids on LSD and a new guitar player called Ken Stringfellow from the Posies. After the summer tour 1997 Chris Rest also him from Rich kids on LSD replaced Ken Stringfellow.
